ABOUT US

The association "A Farewell to Arms!", established in France under the 1901 law, was founded by Russian deserters and former soldiers who refused to participate in war. Faced with this reality, we created a space for mutual support, expression, and action, so that our refusal to kill could also become an act of rebuilding.
Our association aims to:
– defend human rights, particularly for those persecuted for refusing to take part in war;
– support individuals who choose not to participate in armed conflicts - deserters, conscientious objectors, or civilians fleeing forced mobilization;
– build a transnational community of deserters based on solidarity, shared experiences, and mutual aid;
– assist former military personnel in reintegrating into civilian life, as many are left without support after breaking with the military;
– raise public awareness of the consequences of war and nonviolent alternatives, both in France and beyond.
Our association is independent and does not represent any political party or movement.
